Connections series
The series “Connections” focuses on issues that continually ebb and flow through periods of quiet and chaos. The series includes societal issues as well as personal reflections. In this series, I have suggested origami folds and imagery, shown through color and abstract shapes to serve as a metaphor for the wish or hope connected to the theme in the artwork.
In the tradition of origami, the shapes and figures created hold a specific message that can represent a wish, symbol or quality. They are folded to keep for oneself or given to others as a gift.
I began the “Connections” series to put out “wishes” and circulate awareness directed at specific issues in society that seem to perpetuate. Issues that need resolution. Issues that have been continuing for too long.
