This painting is about finding your true self and essence. At the top of the painting there are lines that represent the “INRI” of the person. The name and title given to a person by society......yet this is not all a person is. There is a brick wall commenting on how we build up walls around us for protection. Beyond that lies a mirror bearing the reflection of your true self.... edited, destroyed, and sewn again....It has always been within you...waiting for you to strip yourself of all the labels and protective measures you’ve built up around you in order to see it. Sometimes you have to reach for things just out of your reach or in difficult or challenging areas to receive your truth.
